By L. Russell
I got these boots a couple of weeks ago... so far they are nice. I bought the Tan/Briar color. The shoes run true to size. I primarily wear these to the office, though. They are comfortable enough to walk around the concrete jungle. Thanks to the dual zippers, getting in/out of the things are nice and I like these over laced style shoes. I see why these boots sell out so quickly. I didn't realize the boots were heavy until I picked them up from the FedEx facility.
All in all, I am glad that I went ahead and bought these... all the positive comments are making my ego feel better after the larger than planned hit to my wallet.
Updated 2/13/10: I have had some problems with the zipper getting off the track or getting snagged going up or down. Yesterday, one of the zippers got stuck and I broke one of the teeth :( Either I am rougher on the boots than I thought or the quality isn't as great as I thought.

laces are for people who like the taste of carpet.
i can strap these on and it doesnt matter what i do for the day they remain on. i cant say that for other shoes before this, doc martens, sketchers, ecco, whatever if it had laces the minute i get up from my work to do something quickly i would end up planted in the wall or sprawled on someones desk. and a hard sprint is all i needed to unravel the laces unless i double/triple knotted, but then its forever to take them off
but not with these. all purpose all weather all activities these things i can rely on to just be on my feet. the only improvement i would ask for is one zipper instead of two, or maybe just have a few straps instead.
but here is the best part: these heavy kick boots are my airport armor that i can get in and out of at the airport in mere seconds. After the scan i have them back on and im going. You cant beat that except for with sandals. so yeah wear your sandles but stay out of my way my boots are on and running already.

By Touch of Class
Hello, I wanted to wait a decent amount of time after reading the Review about the Broken Zipper! First, The Look is Amazing! Receive Compliments all the time on the Conquest II. The look is a bit Different an although Ralph Lauren for some odd reason insisted on the Toe of most of their Boots looking the Same I am pleased to announce the Rest of the Conquest II does appear a bit different. The Fit: Spot On! Ralph Lauren does One think Consistantly which is COMFORT :) I wore these the very First Day and forgot they were new! NO sore Feet the next Day. The Color: IF you want Brand Recognition go with the Tan/Briarwood. I own the Dover II and Everyone knows they are Ralph Lauren. I opted for the Black in the Conquest II as it really stands out especially with Faded Levi's! Amazon pics are Spot On as far as Color which is nice to receive something and not open box and scratch your Head LOL! Overall these are: Water Resistant, Sharp and Comfortable. Now about those Zippers...I use them as little as possible and you can get them on and off pulling the Zippers down about half way up/down. I am VERY careful as I want these to last and after 4 Monthes of Cold and Rain and Now Warm and Sunny am Happy to report NO PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER! Cheers!
