This is the third pair of this type ecco shoe with the latex sole. they are very confortable right out of the box and judging from the other two pair they should wear quite well. I work on concreat and walk a great deal each day. As long as Ecco keeps up their current quality standards I will continue to buy them. One thing I did notice is that they have switch to a felt insole on this pair where the last two pairs have leather insoles. Ecco's from about 15 years ago had felt insoles and they were a little more confortable than the lather ones so I like the change.

Very happy with the boots. Amazingly light. Hope to travel the world with them. Too bad the styles for women are not as nice.

I was on a protracted assignment over the summer where we were spending long hours on our feet in a somewhat dangerous environment. A co-worker advised that his Ecco Track V boots were the best investment he'd made and were not only comfortable but extremely quiet on hard surfaces.
After several weeks of hearing about the Ecco Track V's and my own sore feet, I ordered this pair. Amazing pretty much describes the reaction, and not as a cliché' but literally. And considering the size of them, they're pretty light, too.
Up 'till this, I'd never spent over one hundred dollars on any shoes, figuring a shoe or boot is what it is, all the same, why waste money?
This experience taught me that it is indeed possible to get a measurable leap in quality and comfort if the money is spent wisely.
I now own and wear a pair of Ecco street shoes in addition to the Track V boots.
Someone wrote that once they "discovered" Ecco footwear they felt as though they'd been living in a cave the whole time. Funny but true, too.
Not only are they comfortable and quiet, the materials shine with quality and stood up to the sun, dirt, chemicals and tough environment that was peeling off the surface layer of a pair of another guy's (non-Ecco) boots.
Because were were in Summertime without rain, I haven't tested the waterproof aspect, but the Gore-Tex liner did not give me any problems when putting the boots on. I think if you've got the right size there should not be an issue.
One final note:
The EU measurements didn't translate exactly for me; I did some in-person fitting at a local store (which did not have the Track V's) then came here to Amazon. I'd strongly suggest you find out your actual EU size by trying on some Eccos locally if you can before ordering. For my co-worker it meant going down a size; I went up a size from the chart recommendation.
It may seem like a hassle but in the long run it beats sending 'em back for a different size later.
